SINGAPORE, June 29 (Reuters) - The euro surged on Friday after European Council President Herman Van Rompuy said the euro zone reaffirms its commitment to use its bailout funds flexibly and efficiently to stabilise markets.
The euro was last up 1.1 percent on the day at $1.2581 .
