US dollar rises to session high vs yen Jun 20th 2012, 17:11 NEW YORK, June 20 | Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:11pm EDT NEW YORK, June 20 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar extended gains against the yen to hit a session high in early afternoon trade on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve extended its monetary stimulus to support a stalling economic recovery. The dollar rose as high as 79.67 yen on Reuters data and was last up 0.9 percent on the day at 79.63.
