Bank of Spain says economy grew 0.1 percent in third quarter Oct 23rd 2013, 08:10 MADRID | Wed Oct 23, 2013 4:10am EDT MADRID Oct 23 (Reuters) - The Spanish economy grew 0.1 percent in the third quarter from the April-to-June period, the first quarterly expansion in more than two years, the Bank of Spain forecast in its monthly bulletin published on Wednesday. Spain's gross domestic product shrank 1.2 percent in the third quarter from a year earlier, the central bank said.
