RIO DE JANEIRO May 25 (Reuters) - The Brazilian real strengthened on Friday after the central bank stepped up its market intervention, trading below the level of 2 per U.S. dollar for the first time since May 14.
At 11:43 a.m. (1443 GMT), the real gained 1.45 percent to 1.9992 per dollar.
